Campbell's Slow Kettle Soups

One of the only downsides to working from home is that my projects and day to day activities and tasks vary, so it’s hard to stay on an exact, dedicated schedule.  This includes making time for lunch.  I start out the day looking at emails and getting my most important to-dos finished, before moving on to the other things, and that’s usually where the randomness begins.  As I sit around replying to various emails, working on posts, taking photos, and doing work for my Etsy shop, the time flies.  I’ll think to myself, “I’m hungry. I need to find something to eat in a minute.”  Then suddenly I’ll find myself lost in a pool of emails, looking at social networks, or suddenly deciding I need to get up and do a load of laundry.  Luckily Campbell’s has now made is easy and more tempting to stop the work and eat a hot lunch with Campbell’s Slow Settle Style Soups. DIY Christmas Wall Art and the Dremel® Micro™ 8050

Christmas is in the air!  I visited my local craft store the other day and was blown away by all the decorations!  It makes it very easy to get inspired to create your own holiday decorations and gifts!  A while back, I received the new Dremel® Micro™ 8050.  This rotary tool is perfect for crafters, hobbyists, and DIYers.  It allows you to cut, carve, engrave, sand, grind, sharpen, clean and polish.  The tool comes with a number of attachments for completing these projects, and it is also fully compatible with all other Dremel rotary tools accessories.  And it’s just $89, making it a great buy on a Christmas gift for your favorite DIYer!

Dremel

When I got my new Dremel, I immediately thought of all the different ways it could be used for home decor projects.  I got my husband involved, as he is the fixer and the tool guy around here.  I told him that I wanted to make some kind of sign or wall art for Christmas.  After a lot of back and forth, we came up with, what I think is, a great collaboration!

DIY Christmas Wall Art

This Christmas craft is a very affordable project.  As you can see in my picture below, I bought several products that I didn’t use in the final product, so in all, the materials actually used in the project add up to around $15 (which includes the paint I can use again later). [Read more…]

Portable Minecraft with Gameband

Is your child or teen a gamer?  Does he/she love Minecraft™?  If so, here’s a great item for you Christmas list.  It’s called a Gameband.  Minecraft is definitely one of Noah’s favorite and most played games of 2014, so for us, this gift is a no-brainer, as it comes pre-loaded with game content and allows him to save the worlds he creates on the game. Sounds fun, huh?  And of course, I love it because it’s also a cute fashion accessory!

Gameband at Target

I purchased the Gameband at Target in the video game Aisle. You should see it on a hanging rack with the mobile gaming cards; however, in my store, I actually found it on a shelf with other video games.  When I called to see if they had it, there were only 3 in stock, and by the time I got to the store that evening, they only had 2.  So if you’re thinking of getting get this as a Christmas gift, I suggest that you hurry, as they seem to be going fast!  (Keep in mind when purchasing, Minecraft™ Game License is sold separately.)

Gameband for Minecraft

Gameband is made by Now Computing and is affiliated with Minecraft™.   If you have any feedback about the Gameband, you should contact Now Computing.  Gameband Minecraft™ is the first-ever Minecraft™ wearable.  It is best for kids aged 8 to 15, and it comes in 2 sizes (Small – 6.7 inches and Large – 7.2 inches).    Essentially it is similar to a USB, but it is an upgraded version with an awesome twist (see the unboxing video below).  Gameband comes Pre-loaded with gaming content, like maps from Sethbling, Hypixel and Dragonz, and it allows you to save your worlds and take them with you for use on any computer!

Gameband for Minecraft

Noah’s been checking out the Gameband over the last week.  Some of his favorite features include:

  • The pre-loaded maps and ability to save worlds, and the ability to take them anywhere and use it on any computer.  (This is great because now he can play on his computer here, and also play on the computer at his other house.)
  • He likes that it can be worn as a wrist watch that tells you the date and the time.
  • It also comes with PixelFurnace, an App that lets you customize Gameband with messages, images and animations that you create.  He’s been wearing it around the house over the last week and showing us the different animations that he’s been creating.  (It’s very neat!)
  • And finally Gameband not only features ultra-fast, long lasting software, and  saves your Worlds…it also backs them up onto their secure, cloud-based servers.  This way if you lose it, all you have to do is contact Now Computing and order a replacement.  All your data will still be there! (And believe me, the way things sometimes disappear around here, that’s a definite possibility, so this feature is a real plus!)

Gary with Speaker

My husband is kind of hard to buy for, but I recently gave him an early Christmas present that was a big time hit!   Gary is a big music fan. every genre of music imaginable: country, bluegrass, pop, classic rock, R&B, and rap. He also listens to just about He plays a number of musical instruments, including banjo, guitar, piano, and mandoline.  And one of our favorite activities to do together is listen to music.  We often take turns picking out songs to listen to on Youtube to listen to.  And sometimes we’ll sing together, or he will get his guitar out and play along.  Needless to say, he was excited to open up his JBL Flip 2 Portable Speaker. all free clear Review

All Free & Clear

Usually I’m all about scent when it comes to doing laundry and choosing laundry detergent. I just want to make sure that everything comes out smelling clean and not stale. Holiday Gift Guide: Agraria Home

Agraria Candles

I usually try to wait till the week of Thanksgiving to talk Christmas and holiday gift guides, but I’ve got a lot of great items to feature (plus recipes and so many other Christmas posts coming up) that we simply have to start now, in order to get everything in.  We start today with Agraria.  They are a company based out of San Fransisco that sells great home interior items like candles and diffusers, as well as bath and body products for you.

Agraria products are great for friends and family and just about any lady on your list.  (Who doesn’t want their home or themselves to smell good?)  My mother-in-law especially loves candles, so I’ll be giving her Agraria’s Bitter Orange Candle.  Imagine a sweet orange scent with a hint of spice.  I know she will love it!

What’s sets their items apart from the competition is not only their lovely scent but also the elegant look of the products.  Your gift recipient will definitely be proud to display this gift in their home!

I’ve tried their candles and diffusers in my own home.  The diffusers are a an especially good gift and value, as the scent last a long time.  I got a diffuser several months ago, and it still has plenty of liquid and scent.
