Friday Favorites – Week 270 – with Comfort Food

Hello all!  Welcome to this week’s Friday Favorites party.  I generally associate the term “comfort food” with the fall and winter months.  I think of soups, stews, casseroles, meat & potatoes, etc.  But today I have a few comfort items that are definitely for all seasons, including summer.  Take a look!

 I love good comfort food, especially hot soups and chilis.  As the weather’s been colder here the last few weeks, it’s definitely put me even more in the mood for something warm and hearty.  A while back my husband and I collaborated on this Salsa Chili.  It’s the perfect chili recipe, as the tomatoes, onions, and peppers are right in the salsa, which means no peeling, chopping or dicing is required! The holidays are a busy time!  I have our usual family schedule to consider, as well as holiday blogging, and Christmas orders to fill in my Etsy shop…BUT at the end of the day, I still have to put dinner on the table, regardless of whatever else is going on.  Marie Callender’s Pot Pies are a great dinner option for my family and me.  Marie Callender’s tastes like homemade, and they have wholesome pot pies, which now come in a Family Size.  And since all we have to do is pop them in the oven and for them to cook, it saves me a TON of time,  allowing me to do other work and spend time with the family! Celebrating Pi Day with Marie Callender’s Pies

Did you know March 14 is Pi Day?
