Ornament Shop Review

I got another mouse ornament to add to my collection! This cute ornament came from OrnamentShop.com. They offer ornaments in a variety of styles and themes, including Graduate Christmas Ornaments, Teacher Ornament, Graduate Christmas Ornaments,and Engagement Ornaments. And if you’re celebrating Christmas in July on your blog, check out their blog for some great Christmas Ideas.

The ornament I received from OrnamentShop.com features an adorable mouse couple, sitting atop a candy cane. It is made of polymer clay, which gives it a really whimsical look.

And it’s personalized! One each side of the mouse couple is a snowflake which I had our first names put on, and then hanging beneath the candy cane is a little holly berry adorned sign which I got our last name put on. Very cute!

Stopain Cold Review and Giveaway

Aurora – Are We There Yet? Review and Giveaway

If you’ve been visiting my blog for a while, you know that I love the products at Aurora World.

I received the Giraffe Neckrest. This little guy is super cute! He’s made of a soft fabric and features the cute detail work I’ve come to expect from Aurora products. I think these will offer kids great comfort on long road trips, and I think kids will love the fun animal shapes!

Another product that I didn’t actually receive but that I absolutely love is the “By My Side Leads” (or kid leashes, as I like to call them.) I think these are very useful, not just on vacations but anytime you’re out in a crowded place, and Aurora World has some really cute choices available!

And finally, the Are We There Yet? line includes these My Name Is ID Tags. On the back of each of these cute animals is a place for your child’s name and your contact information. Simply clip this on your child, and it will be easy for someone to contact you in the event that you get separated from your child. Brilliant!

Best Price Nutrition Review

My husband and I have both taken a number of supplements for various ailments and general purposes. I recently learned about a company called Best Price Nutrition and was given the opportunity to try a couple of their supplements.

The site sells all kinds of vitamins and supplements and has many brands available. The products I received were made by New Chapter, a company so named because they “believe every one of their products delivers a ‘new chapter’ in nourishment, protection or health.”

I’m a very anxious, nervous person and have taken a couple of different supplements for this, so I was interested in finding a new supplemnt to tackle this problem. I got to try the New Chapter Holy Basil and the New Chapter Wholemega.

I’d actually never heard of Holy Basil before this review, but now I’m happy that I did. Upon doing further research, I found that it promotes a positive stress response and an overall sense of well being. It can also help maintain metabolic efficiency, digestion, hormone levels, blood sugar levels, and respiratory health. And it’s an anti-inflammatory.

To see these longterm results, I’d obviously have to take the supplement for more than a week or so, but what I can tell you is that I like the size of the New Chapter product. It is an easy to swallow gel cap, and this is important to me, because I have a hard time swallowing big pills. And in fact, I do feel that even in the short term it has helped with my stress levels. So I’ll definitely be ordering this in the future!

I also tried the New Chapter Wholemega, which an omega (fish oil) supplement. My husband has taken omegas for cardiovascular health, but what I didn’t know is that this supplement can also benefit your immune system and help you maintain brain and digestive health.

Again, I loved the size of this product. It’s a gel cap as well, and it’s a little smaller than other omega supplements I’ve seen, and you still only need 2 a day, so that’s fantastic.

Sea-Band Drug Free Nausea Relief Bands: Review & Giveaway

As a frequent migraine sufferer, I’m always looking for products that can help. I recently had a chance to try these Sea-Band Drug Free Nausea Relief Bands, and I was pleased with the results I got.

Did you know that 28 million Americans suffer from migraines! Are you one of them or do you know someone who does? If so, you understand that these chronic headaches are exceptionally debilitating and, on top of the intense pain, can trigger nausea that makes them even more uncomfortable to deal with (eight out of 10 people who are diagnosed with migraines report experiencing nausea). Plus, nausea makes it difficult to keep down the medication needed to treat the migraine to begin with.

This is where Sea-Band Drug Free Nausea Relief Bands can help. A study conducted at the Berolina Clinik (which specializes in migraine and headache therapy) in Loehne, Germany, showed that 85% of

chronic migraine sufferers who participated by wearing Sea-Band (acupressure wristbands better known for helping people with motion/travel sickness and morning sickness) during a migraine attack reported

positive results:

41 patients participated in the test; participants had, on average, suffered from migraines for more than 26 years. All participants had forgone the use of anti-emetics (anti-nausea drugs) for the purpose of this study
83% indicated a perceptible reduction in nausea associated with migraine as a result of wearing Sea-Band
44% indicated a significant reduction in overall (collective) migraine symptoms.
Relief was reported after an average of 28 minutes of wearing the Sea-Bands

How Sea-Band works…

Approved by the FDA, Sea-Band works by exerting constant, gentle pressure on a point on the inner wrist known as the Pericardium 6 (P6) acupressure point. It brings effective relief and can be used before or after the onset of nausea.

Sea-Band has traditionally been used to effectively reduce nausea from morning sickness, travel sickness, chemotherapy and post surgery. The all-natural, drug-free, latex-free Sea-Band does not cause side-effects often associated with anti-nausea medication such as drowsiness, disorientation, dry mouth or possible interactions with other drugs. My Thoughts: I get several migraines per month. I would say that three to five are severe, although I may only experience nausea with one or two of them. When I do get the nausea, it often comes on quite suddenly, and I often find that it’s a catch-22: Often I’ve been lying around on the couch and haven’t fixed myself anything to eat. The lack of eating makes me feel bad/worse, but then if I finally try to eat something I’ll get the nausea even worse.

I was anxious to try the Sea-Band anti-nausea bands, because I love to find natural cures and alternatives to medicines. I’ve tried the bands twice since I’ve had them, and I found that my nausea was relieved within minutes. Excellent!

But what I loved most was the citrus taste. The last few years I haven’t been able to find cookies like the ones I ate as a kid, so I’m now excited that I’ll have the chance to experience that taste with the Newtons Fruit Thins.

I think this is a great snack for moms and kids alike, and I look forward to trying the other varieties in the future!

Thrive Chicken Salad (Review & Tutorial)

Don’t you just love chicken salad? Today for part of our Shelf Reliance party, I’m going to be reviewing their chicken salad. And I’m going to tell you how easy it is to make it once you have the products!

I always love to try new products, especially “new versions” of foods that I love. As you may know, we eat a lot chicken, so I was excited to try the Thrive Chicken. I recieved a sample of chicken, as well as a sample of onions and celery to make chicken salad.

I’ve never prepared freeze dried foods before, so apart from being curious about the taste, I was curious about the process. Lucky for me, it was very easy to make with just a few simple steps!

Here’s how you do it:

1. Combine chicken, celery, and onion in about 3 cups water in a sauce pan over high heat.

2. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to low and simmer until reconstituted (about 10 minutes).

3. Put the mixture into a colander and let the water drain for about 10 minutes. Make sure to get all excess water out.

4. Set aside in the refrigerator until cool.

5. Combine the cooled chicken mixture with 1/2 cup mayonnaise. Season the chicken mixture with salt and pepper to taste. Spoon onto bread or crackers.

Now how did we like it? I can honestly say that we LOVED it! Even as the salad cooked on the stove top, I could smell the onion cooking through. Upon taking the mixture off the stove, I couldn’t help but taste a small bite of chicken and was intrigued at how the chicken had absorbed the flavor of the onions.

And the final product was delcious! My husband (the sometimes skeptic) was very impressed by the taste and just how flavorful it was, and particularly fascinated by the inclusion of the onions and celery in the package.

And we also loved the amount in the sample, which yielded seven sandwiches for us. Overall we were very impressed by the product, and I’m very excited to try some of the other meats at Shelf Reliance.
