Make Every Night a Date Night with Tony’s Pizza

Date Night with Tonys Pizza

I love going out, but sometimes there are a lot of road blocks to having a night out:  there’s no time, you’re tired or busy, there’s no money in the budget, etc.  Last month my husband was actually in the hospital, and shortly after his return home, he was diagnosed with neuropathy.  With this, there has been a lot to adjust to, and quite frankly we haven’t really been in the mood to go out.  Luckily the two of us have always been able to have a great time, just hanging out together at home.  As long as we’re together, we can make every night a date night.  One of our favorite activities is watching a little television and having a great meal, and quite often that meal is pizza!  We recently went to Walmart picked up TONY’S® Pizza, and it made a for a delicious meal and fun date night.   [Read more…]

Game Day Fiestas with Delimex

This week our television seems to be fixed on basketball! At our house, it can be very hard to pry people away from the television or the computer to eat a meal, and if a ball game is on, you can just forget about it!  For this reason, I always like to have plenty of appetizers and snacks, I can whip up at a moment’s notice.  This way I can skip the cooking, and they can enjoy the game!  A couple of days ago, I made some Delimex. Delicious Ideas for National Sloppy Joe Day and Manwich Mondays

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Manwich. All opinions are 100% mine.

At my house we often plan our meals around work and school activities.  A long day of work, followed by late pick up from school due to band practice or other after school activities means I need a quick dinner option.

One of my “go-to” meals for days like this is sloppy joes made with Manwich. Manwich is a great meal time option, because the whole family loves it.  (Believe me, it wouldn’t be a regular go-to meal if it didn’t have my stepson’s seal of approval!)

It also comes in three great varieties: Manwich Original, Manwich Bold and Manwich Thick & Chunky.

My favorite variety is Manwich Bold. It’s great for my favorite Manwich Melts.  (Just add your favorite cheese and sandwich toppings.  I like mine with mayo and dill pickles!)

Another thing I like to make with Manwich sauce is meatloaf and mini meatloaf cups.

National Sloppy Joe Day is coming up March 18. You can celebrate the occasion by serving up some yummy Manwich sandwiches, or make something else with Manwich’s yummy sloppy joe sauce!

  • Spoon Manwich meat in to a casserole dish and top with mashed potatoes for delicious and saucy Shepherds Pie.
  • Pour over Fritos and add cheese for a yummy Manwich Pie.
  • Add Manwich to hard or soft shell tortillas for Manwich Tacos.
  • Add cooked pasta to your Manwich meat for a yummy skillet meal.

The Manwich website is also filled with Manwich Mondays Recipes and other great ideas for how you can think outside the bun and use Manwich sauce to make great weeknight meals for your family.  You can also subscribe to the ReadySetEat enewsletter for great ideas in your inbox!

Salsa Chili

Salsa Chili

I love good comfort food, especially hot soups and chilis.  As the weather’s been colder here the last few weeks, it’s definitely put me even more in the mood for something warm and hearty.  A while back my husband and I collaborated on this Salsa Chili.  It’s the perfect chili recipe, as the tomatoes, onions, and peppers are right in the salsa, which means no peeling, chopping or dicing is required! And best of all, it’s delicious! [Read more…]

Every Day Recipes with Quaker

How many of you enjoy a bowl of Quaker Cereal for breakfast?  Me too!  And I also love using cereals in recipes!  Typically I enjoy using cereal for party mixes and dessert recipe.  But it can also be used as a substitute for bread crumbs in a number of recipes, which can help you to make the most of your pantry items and save you a trip to the store.  Today I’m sharing a great example of that using Quaker Life Cereal. Marie Callenders Pot Pies

The holidays are a busy time!  I have our usual family schedule to consider, as well as holiday blogging, and Christmas orders to fill in my Etsy shop…BUT at the end of the day, I still have to put dinner on the table, regardless of whatever else is going on.  Marie Callender’s Pot Pies are a great dinner option for my family and me.  Marie Callender’s tastes like homemade, and they have wholesome pot pies, which now come in a Family Size.  And since all we have to do is pop them in the oven and for them to cook, it saves me a TON of time,  allowing me to do other work and spend time with the family! Pizza Night with Aldi

Pizza Night with Aldi

I try my best to plan out our meals for the week, but life can often throw your curve balls.  If I have a migraine or other illness, I definitely need a dinner that is a quick fix.  Or if Noah’s event schedule changes, we may find ourselves needing to make something quick or we may even find ourselves having a dinner for two.  In other cases, we may have last second company and need to make something quick for extra people.  Whatever the reason, I always try to have several easy dinner night options on hand.

In the past I’ve told you how much I love Aldi and all the great deals they have to offer on some of my favorite grocery items.  During my most recent trip, I picked up a deli pizza.  Aldi has a number of core range and special buy pizza’s from their store brand Mama Cozi. [Read more…]

Success Rice

Rice is one of my favorite kitchen staples!  I love serving it as a side, and I especially love to use it in casseroles!  But with some rice products you have to be careful, or your rice won’t be good and done.  But Success® Boil-in-Bag Rice makes it easy to cook up perfect rice!

The product comes in White and and Whole Grain Brown Rice varieties, and you can find it in 14 oz and 32 oz package.  And because Success® Rice is precooked,  your cook time is just 10 minutes from bag to bowl!  From there, you can add any number of ingredients to create your favorite recipe!
