Acrylic beads are available in many colors. Someone who is looking to make a very colorful piece of jewelry will often use these beads because they can find almost any color that they want to use in these beads. They are also very durable. A piece of jewelry that is being made for a young child will be very durable if made with these lovely beads.

Not only are they colorful and durable, but these beauties are also very lightweight. People are able to add larger pieces of jewelry without adding too much weight that it weights them down too much. This is what makes them wonderful for making earrings. A bigger earring can be created with these without pulling down on the earlobe.

I just made this charm bracelet a couple of days ago. It’s my favorite thing that I’ve made in a while!

And my husband says that this necklace is his favorite thing that I’ve made.  I only wish I had one of those necklace display things, so I could show it off better. (That’ll definitely be a purchase in the future, but until then, you’ll just have to take my word that it looks really cute on!)

BeadforLife Review – Eradicating Poverty One Bead at a Time

I recently received a cute bracelet from BeadforLife, and I’m really excited to share their jewelry and the mission of this wonderful organization with you today.

What is BeadforLife?

BeadforLife is a Colorado 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization with a wonderful mission to lift impoverished women out of poverty through their BeadCircle. On their website, you’ll find fascinating stories about their inspiring members who work in Uganda. The members are impoverished, hardworking and intelligent women with a strong desire to improve their lives. They make beautiful handcrafted paper beads from recycled paper and turn them into necklaces, bracelets and earrings, while the farmers in Otuke collect the finest quality shea nuts and press them into Shea Butter Soap and Peppermint Lip Balm, which is also sold on the BeadforLife website.

How can you help?


Make a Donation. Make a direct donation to the organization.

Make a Purchase. You can help buy purchasing jewelry and beads from the BeadforLife Store 
Host a Bead Party. This is a great way to raise awareness and introduce this organization to your friends, while at the same time, having a fun night of beading.
