Were you born with perfectly white, perfectly straight, perfectly perfect smile?  If you’re like me the answer is no.  I’ve pretty much always had problems with my teeth including cavities when I was young, and then I had to have oral surgery and get braces when I was 14.

We didn’t have Invisalign Teen when I was a kid, so I was stuck with the traditional metal braces. If you’ve never had to endure this, I’d describe them with one word: pain.  It’s painful when they first get put on, and your teeth hurt every month, when it comes time to have them tightened, that is a pain.  It can also be difficult to brush and floss around.  Since I’ve had my braces off, I’ve continued to have problems with my teeth, and I’ve had to have a lot of procedures, including filling, root canals, and crowns, not to mention, I still have white marks where some of the brackets were on my braces.
