Hey everyone! Thanks for stopping by for Friday Favorites.  Ever since I was approaching the one year anniversary of this party, I’ve been trying to think of some way to change it up a bit.  I had a lot of ideas, and one thing I’ve decided to do is to create a Friday Favorites Features Board on Pinterest.

My plan is to pin the week’s features onto this board, just to give everyone a little extra free advertising.  And I’ll  also be adding other posts to this board from people who linked up but whom I didn’t feature here on the blog.  I’ve decided to do this because I only have time and space to feature a few people each week here on the blog, and I think this pin board will be a great way for me to highlight some extra folks each week.

And in the future I may make some other changes to the features, but for now I’m going to try this out and see how it goes.

Secondly, I want to tell you all about the blog event I’m having.  Next week I’ll be hosting a Virtual Party for Shelf Reliance!  This is an awesome company which specializes in food storage and emergency products.  The party officially runs from June 1-3, but I’ll be kicking it off with some preliminary posts on Monday and Tuesday.

What can you expect?  LIVE Online Chats with Consultant Mistry Marsh, Product reviews and highlights, a blog interview with Misty, and prizes including $100 worth of Shelf Reliance Products and jewelry from my etsy shop!

Chats – I hope some of you will come by for the chats.  To participate, just go  to the Shelf Reliance Chat Room, and enter the name you wish to go by.  Right now we’re planning to do three 30 minute sessions, one on each day, and to make it convenient for everyone to attend, we’ll have a morning, afternoon, and evening session. At the chats you’ll have a chance to ask Misty some questions, and we’ll also have some games for the $100 prize.

Hi everyone! Thanks for stopping by to link up! And thanks to everyone for your kind words and thoughts regarding last week’s storms.  I’m happy to report that my family and friends are all safe, and things are getting back to normal in my community. 

 

But some of the areas around us really got hit hard, even devastated.  We haven’t actually gone to these areas yet because they’ve been trying to clean up and stuff.  But I know the videos and pictures are horrible, and they say that the pictures don’t do it justice at all.  Anyway I’m planning to write a post shortly on how you can help out those in need.  And I hope you’ll consider donating.

Hey guys.  Sorry this is late.  We took a last minute trip to Mobile today to stay with family, due to widespread power outages and other happenings in our area after the big tornados on Wednesday night.

 

They say we won’t have power for at least 5-7 anywhere in North Alabama, so I’m not sure when I’ll be back to posting as I usually do; however, I will try to check emails and respond whenever I can.

 

Lucky for us, our town was not hit and everyone in my family is okay. But please pray for people in my surrounding areas who lost their homes, businesses, and loved ones. 

 

Happy Friday! And Happy Easter weekend! I’m so excited to be celebrating week 60 of Friday Favorites this week and even more excited to share some cute Easter ideas with you!  I have to tell you, it was quite a chore this week trying to decide what items to feature!
