Two Broads Design Giveaway

Today we have a lovely giveaway from the ladies of Two Broads Design.

The shop is owned by Jen and Lindsey.  They met at the age of 12 over the love of the odd, and their friendship has lasted through adulthood.
Lindsey’s love of shiny objects such as crystals and beads started to rub off on Jen. From there, the love of beads and findings exploded into a supernova of amazing jewelry products! It only seemed like a natural step to start a store and share their passion with the world!

Spotlight on Petite Rouge Shop

I instantly fell in love with Rachel’s  unique bows.  Her blossoms are so fun and unique!  And I love the variety of bright colors and fabrics.  I also love that girls can wear the clips alone or add them to a headband.  And although the blossoms dominate the shop, I equally love Rachel’s flower clips and corker clips.  Any of these bows would be the perfect accessory to finish off any outfit with style and flair!

Spotlight on Birdsong Bows

I’m always excited to introduce you to companies that specialize in teaching you how to make something.  And this week I have the pleasure of welcoming Birdsong Bows to my blog.  They are a company that sells patterns and tutorials for hairbows and accessories.
This shop is owned by Deanna McCool.  Deanna grew up with a love for crafting, drawing, and painting.  Over the years she’s taken up a number of  disciplines from pottery and writing to fiber arts.  In 2006 Deanna discovered hair bow design and grew Birdsong Bows with a love for the art and craft of creating beautiful accessories for little girls. Spotlight on Spring Swimwear at Express

The weather’s been perfect around our house for the last few weeks, and I’m so happy that spring time is finally here!  With the warm weather here to stay (for a while), you can’t help but think about spring and summer fashions, the tank tops, shorts, flip flops, and of course, swimsuits!  You can dive into the season’s sexiest women’s swimwear at Express.
Express carries bikinis in a number of styles including the string bikini, strapless bikini, and the halter bikini.  They also have monokinis if your shopping for something sexy, yet modest.  And they have many beautiful colors and patterns available.  Apart from the cute styles and designs they offer, I love all the different embellishments they have, from the flirty ruffles and ties to the glam beads.


My favorite swim suit is this graphic bikini (pictured above).  Usually when I shop for swimsuits, I end up with something in purple, blue, or pink, so the colors of this suit are right up my alley.  I just love how they’ve splashed the bright pink graphics onto this deep purple, and I love how they used what I call the “fade effect” where the colors gradually fade in to one another.  And looking at a larger, close-up photo of the suit, you can see that they also added tiny bead embellishments to the flowers, for a little extra-added style and glam!  I would love to wear this to the beach this summer!

DaVinci Beads Review/Giveaway from Coppin’s Gifts

As someone who loves to make and wear jewelry, I’m really excited to bring you this week’s review and giveaway.

A few weeks ago I was introduced to Coppin’s Gifts. They offer top gift brands, such as Precious Moments, Boyd’s Bears, DaVinci Beads, and more!

DaVinci Beads are similar in style to the popular Pandora beads but much less expensive and just as cute!  Coppin’s Gifts offers a variety of DaVinci beads to fit your personal style.  These include birthstone beads, art glass, foil glass, and more!  They also have family beads and fun dangles in a variety of styles and themes.

I had the opportunity to choose a toggle bracelet and 3 DaVinci beads from Coppin’s Gifts for review.  Ironically I was just telling my husband how I wish I could have one of these bracelets, and a few days later I heard from someone at Coppin’s Gifts.  So I was really thrilled when  they gave me this opportunity.

Even though I’m a December baby, I’ve always loved the color of the March birthstone, and since I love the color so much (and since I at least have kitty cats that were born in March, lol) I chose three beads in the March birthstone.  These are pictured above.  One is a CZ Ball Birthstone and the others are Glass Birthstone beads.

I was very impressed by the look and quality of both the toggle bracelet and the beads.  The beads are a good size, and I just love how they sparkle and shine.  They are just lovely, and I was so happy with my choice! 

In fact, I’m looking forward to adding more beads to this bracelet in the future.  I’ll either do a mix of March and April birthstones (since my husband was born in April), or I’ll possibly choose some of the other birthstone beads for a multi-colored look.  Either way, I’m sure that any DaVinci Beads  I choose will be beautiful.  And I’d definitely recommend DaVinci Beads at Coppin’s Gifts to anyone who’s seen this style of bracelet and wants to build their own.

Introducing Rock of Ages

The pendants and stone beads I’m selling are her off-spring and through talented lapidarist eyes created into brillant pieces of art!”

When designing jewelry Jeanette draws on the colors in nature and paints with beads. She is not intimidated by color and shows that fearlessness in her work. She uses Tibetan silver from the Karen Hill Tribe, Bali silver, quality semi-precious stones, crystals, a variety of pearls, and beautiful handmade lamp beads.
Her eye for the obscure inspires her more unique pieces which include such rarities as dinosaur bone, mummy beads, and petrified coral, to name a few.
Jeanette has recently begun adding leather chokers to her shop. These come in beautiful custom colors and are made to size.  In the future she also hopes to add handmade earwire and other components for jewely making.

Fun Kid’s Fashions for 4th of July

Whenever I start to work on holiday-themed posts, I usually spend most of my time on food, crafts, and decor.  But today, I’m focusing on fashion!  Kid’s fashion to be exact!   I looked around and found some really cute and fun kid’s fashion items for the 4th.  Here’s just a few of the things I found. Some of these are items you can purchase online, while others are fun fashion crafts that you can make at home.  And all of them will look great on your little patriot!

Red, White, and Blue and oh-so cute! I found this adorable personalized 4th of July shirt at My Little Pumpkin Designs on etsy.

I thought this bald eagle shirt was just too cute!  Head over to Family Fun for the tutorial.

Another great fashion craft. It’s quite easy and economical to make this 4th of July crown from Family Fun.  How festive!
