I’m so excited about the hot summer weather here! One of my favorite summer activities is just sitting on the front porch or the back deck with my hubby. Whether we’re sitting out in the hot sun or under the stars at night, it is always good to have this time to spend with him just laughing and talking as we share a Coke!
This summer Coca-Cola has brought back their Share a Coke campaign, complete with fun personalized bottles and cans. Coke has always been my favorite drink, and last year I had my fair share of cans and bottles with fun words like “Superstar” and Soulmate” written on them. Then this year I’ve gotten bottles that feature emoticons and the words “Love” and “Amor.” But even better than that, I found a bottle with my husband’s name on it! [Read more…]

Lately I’ve been seeing so many cute home decor items that I’d love to have. I’ve been wanting a living room makeover for a while, but I just can’t really swing it right now….at least not a makeover as big as I am wanting. But the next best thing is browsing for ideas online and in stores. Today I have a few ideas from our bloggy friends; they include some great room decor and some DIY projects. Hope you enjoy!

Are you ready for Valentine’s Day? I got everything I need for a fun and festive Valentine’s Day Party at Oriental Trading. And right now they have select Valentine’s Day Decor and party favors for 60% off.
I got these cute little Valentine tea lights. The batteries are included, and they are perfect for a little soft light for a big dinner party or more intimate gathering. Or you could even use them to light up your crafts and other Valentine decor.

All month long I’ve been cleaning and doing a little organizing around the homestead. And I’ve also been thinking of some upcoming home makeover and decor projects! I’ve been browsing Lush Decor, and they have some great items for the home. I especially love their bedding sets. I have a couple of bedspreads that I swap in and out, but I haven’t bought a new one in a while, and I’ve really been wanting to do an update. I usually try to wait till the week of Thanksgiving to talk Christmas and holiday gift guides, but I’ve got a lot of great items to feature (plus recipes and so many other Christmas posts coming up) that we simply have to start now, in order to get everything in. We start today with Agraria. They are a company based out of San Fransisco that sells great home interior items like candles and diffusers, as well as bath and body products for you.
Agraria products are great for friends and family and just about any lady on your list. (Who doesn’t want their home or themselves to smell good?) My mother-in-law especially loves candles, so I’ll be giving her Agraria’s Bitter Orange Candle. Imagine a sweet orange scent with a hint of spice. I know she will love it!

With Halloween just around the corner (Can you believe it??), it seemed like a good time to share my fall decor. For the fall season, I find that a little goes a long way. By just adding a few items to a buffet table, fireplace, or front porch area, you can easily give your home a touch of fall.

I feel like I’m a little late to the party with this post, since everyone started sharing their fall decor a month ago, but I was doing my fall decorating last weekend (decor post still to come), and I decided to go online and get a free printable to frame for my living room. When I started searching, I was overwhelmed by all the cuteness I saw, so I decided to throw together a post with some of my favorites!
I have to confess, I did recycle the 5 at the bottom from a previous post I did, to get 15 for this post! The five I shared a couple of years ago were so cute, I thought they were worth a second look, and I like having all of these in one place just for my own convenience, and I’m sure it’s better for you too.

I’ve been making plans to have some family photos taken, and with that comes the inspiration for holiday cards and so much more! I recently visited Minted and I loved the selection of cards, stationary, and other print media they had available.
