Feminine Relief with MONISTAT® + a $25 Giveaway

Our bodies are always going through changes.  Since being pregnant, I’ve learned more and more about this.  Nearly every day (and especially in the beginning of my pregnancy) I’ve looked up something related the topic of pregnancy:  What symptoms should I expected this week?  Is this symptom normal?  What medicines can I take?

When it comes to feminine itching, odor, and yeast infections, MONISTAT® is on my list of OBGYN recommended products to use.   It offers prescription strength medicine in an over the counter form, which is very convenient for women on the go.  MONISTAT® is the #1 doctor recommended OTC brand with a long-term record of success — it has been in use for the treatment of vaginal yeast infections for over 40 years.

MONISTAT® relieves symptoms four times faster and works on more strains of yeast than the leading prescription and results in less drug resistance and fewer drug interactions than the leading prescription pill.

From itching to burning to abnormal discharge, when the common signs of a yeast infection pop up, MONISTAT® offers a variety of products to cure the problem.  They come in 3 dosage strengths: Maximum Strength, Regular Strength, and Low Dose.  These dosage formulas are designed to work in 1 day, 3 days, and 7 days respectively. They have color coded and numbered packaging makes it very easy to find the product you need.  You can also purchase any of these formulas in the form of an Ovule, a cream, suppositories, or wipes, depending on your needs.

Typically I choose the Maximum Strength option.  You can conveniently choose to buy a single product or buy a combination pack with 2 or 3 of the product offerings.  I generally like to keep the cream on hand.  But earlier this year I purchased the Cure & Itch Pack, which has the cream and the ovule insert.

MONISTAT® 3 is the Regular Strength product.  It is a great treatment option for women who want a less concentrated treatment (200 mg of miconazole nitrate per dose) that provides consistent treatment and relief at moderate dosage levels. MONISTAT® 3 includes three nightly doses in the LESS MESS Ovule® form, pre-filled cream applicators, and suppositories, and also comes in combination pack options that provide both internal and external relief from yeast infection symptoms.

The Low Dose (7 day) product is the one I would currently take.  It is recommended for pregnant and diabetic women. (Note:  Although the product is generally thought to be safe for pregnant women, you should always consult your OBGYN before using this product.)

Again, with the low dose line, you have the option of purchasing 3 different combinations of products.  I’d recommend the Complete Therapy pack.  It include:

  • 7 Empty disposable applicators
  • 1 Tube with original prescription-strength cream
  • 1 Tube of itch relief cream
  • 6 Coolwipes®
