Are you done with your holiday shopping? I just love holiday gift giving, and I love it even better when you can give a gift that you KNOW someone will love.
Do you ever find yourself just buying gifts that require no thought at all? Things like gift cards or general audience gifts that could be for anyone (or the “token gift” as I like to call it). If so, then you should really reconsider your gift giving. Whether you’re spending $5 or $50, it is the THOUGHT that counts.
Before buying another gift card or scented candle, think about what your gift recipient really loves. What are their hobbies? What are they passionate about? And if you don’t know the answers to these questions, then find the answer by asking another family member or friend, or even by checking out the person’s Facebook or other social media profiles.
I find that a lot of people I know are passionate about food and drinks, so that is often at the heart of my gift giving. This year one of “foodie gifts” is about about coffee! I have stepsister, who lives out of state. Since I didn’t grow up with her, and since we only see her once or twice a year, it’s hard for me to know exactly what to buy for her. But I know she LOVES coffee! Here are just a few of my gift giving suggestions for the coffee drinker in your life:
- Coffee mugs and thermal cups (perhaps something personalized or something with a catchy phrase).
- A bag of their favorite coffee or for the adventurous coffee drinker, try a special unique blend they’ve never had before.
- Sign them up for a coffee bean subscription, a gift that will keep giving each month!
- A coffee cup cozy or mug rug. (Especially handmade. Etsy has a lot of options.)
- Coffee-themed jewelry and apparel.
- Biscotti, coffee cake, cookies, chocolates, and other assorted treats that go great with coffee. You can buy something from a gourmet store, shop your local markets, or even bake something yourself.
- Baking mixes. There are a lot of great baking mixes out on the market for muffins, coffee cake, cinnamon rolls, and other scrumptious items that your favorite coffee drinker can bake at home.
- Books. Not all coffee drinkers like to read but many of them do! If you’re favorite coffee drinker likes to reader, do a little research and find out what book they’d like to have on their bookshelf this Christmas.
- If you want something really unique and a bit gimicky, buy a self-stirring coffee cups. (Yes, they have those!)
- For fans of the single cup coffee makers, buy them a single cup sampler pack.
- If they love to make lattes and other drinks, find a Milk Frother and Warmer machine.
- Coffee-themed decor for their office, kitchen, or coffee bar area.
- For the coffee drinkers, who are all about beauty, look for coffee-infused facial products. There are a lot of these online, including many on Etsy. And if you enjoy making homemade gifts, you can look online to find recipes to make your own coffee soaps, scrubs, and other items.
- A coffee grinder. When it comes to coffee, freshness is the key! With a new grinder, you gift recipient can enjoy grinding their own beans at home.
- A coffee maker or espesso maker. Any serious coffee drinker already has this, but there’s nothing wrong with an upgrade, right? If you want to find the Best Grind and Brew Coffee Maker, but don’t know a lot about the subject, I found a website which will help you make your purchasing decision.
