Birdwells at Park
Here in the South, we can have a Snow Day one week and a picnic at the park the next week.  The weather is that unpredictable!   For this reason, it’s always good to take care of our feet, as you never know when it might be an open-toe shoe kind of day.  (Not to mention, my husband is always telling me that he likes my little feet, so I want to be able to proudly show them off.)  But regardless of how the weather is in your area, it doesn’t have to be sandal season to respect your feet!  Today I’ve got some foot care tips for you and a gadget to help you get an easy and inexpensive at-home pedicure any day of the week!

 Respect Your Feet with Amope

1.  Clean and  exfoliate. Wash your feet using an exfoliating scrub and loofah. (You can also use simple ingredients like sugar and/or oatmeal, aloe vera, and essential oils like tea tree and lavender to make an easy and effective homemade exfoliating scrub.)

2. The Amopé Pedi Perfect is a new gadget that helps you create beautifully soft feet. After you wash and dry your feet, then run this electronic foot file over any hard and rough patches of skin on your foot.  the Amopé Pedi Perfect files the skin away, leaving your feet looking and feeling smooth. (This is also a great holiday gift idea, if you’re looking for beauty items that are and new and unique.)

3.  After filing your feet, follow it up with the Amopé Pedi Perfect Daily Moisturizer lotion.  This lotion is made with Vitamin B3 and oils to help keep your skin moisturized for 24 hours. (And it smells so nice!)

Amope at Target

I purchased my Amopé Pedi Perfect foot file and lotion at Target.  You can find it in the foot care aisle.  And while you’re shopping, you can also find other great items for your feet.

Foot Care Tips

4. Wax bath.  For foot pain and inflammation, soak your feet in  a paraffin wax bath.

5. Epsom Salts.  Add epsom salts to your bath water or to a foot bath to relieve pain.

6.  Wear comfortable socks and shoes.  I love fuzzy, cozy socks in winter time!  And as nice as boots and high heels look, I’d much rather find a nice looking shoe that is also comfortable.  (And lucky for me, my husband doesn’t find the boots and high heels attractive any way!)

7.  Wear insoles.  If you must wear shoes that are uncomfortable, look for a nice pair of insoles to place in you shoes.  (Your feet will thank you!)

Foot Care Tips

8.  Clip and trim.  Cut your toe nails regularly, using nail clippers or nail scissors.

9.  Nail file.  Even out your nails using a nail file.

10. Paint!  Paint makes everything cuter.  Finish off your toes with a nice coat of polish.  (Silver is my favorite, but I also love a good shade of pink!)
