Charitable Giving with World Vision

World Vision Share Joy

I am pleased to be working to promote World Vision again this year. World Vision is an international partnership of Christians whose mission is to follow our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in working with the poor and oppressed to promote human transformation, seek justice, and bear witness to the good news of the Kingdom of God.

Girl and Duck

You can help out by looking through World Vision’s catalog.  They have a list of items that you can choose to donate to someone around the world.  For example, a $25 donation will buy someone 2 chickens, while a $75 donation will buy a goat.

You can also choose to donate money to send children to school or buy a sewing machine to help a woman lift herself out of poverty.  Or your donations can go towards things like Bibles, new clothing, and toys.

This is a great way for you and your family to get together and help to make a difference for someone else this Christmas, or purchase a gift in someone’s honor.

And thanks to grants and corporate donations, your various gifts will be multiplied.

World Vision also has items that you can buy for members of your family as gifts.  The gift items are handmade by artisans and they will receive donations from these sales.

Silver Cuff

Items that you can purchase for gift giving include beaded and leather jewelry, hard carved spoons, scarves and this cute Silver Vines Cuff. I received one these bracelets, and it looks very beautiful.  It is great fit and looks good with any outfit.  The cuff sales for $85, and when you buy it, the donation gives you a $25 tax deduction.

Disclosure: I received a product of my choice for review purposes; however, the opinions are my own.
