Have you ever visited Gardenieres?  It is a fantastic site featuring great projects and tips for your garden.

Is there a garden project you would like to take on this fall?  I checked out the project videos over at Gardenieres, and one of my favorite ideas is to to plant an orchard.  In the following video Teena tells you a little bit about the foods in her orchard:

I have always thought it would be great to grow some of our own food in the back yard.  When I was a kid, we grew corn and tomatoes in our yard for a little while, and I always had relatives who grew various crops.

Today my dad has some apple trees and pear trees in his yard.  And we have a pecan tree in our own back yard.  Last year I picked up some pecans from our back yard and used them in my cakes. It would be great to add some apple or pear trees to our own yard.  I imagine it would make for some great baking ingredients!
