Fall Cleaning and Sharing the Swiffer Effect

I’ve got working on a lot of interesting fall projects, including a Fall Cleaning Series, which I’m happy to kick off today with a little help from Swiffer!

I’ve always loved Swiffer products. We live in a multi-surface floor home, and the variety of Swiffer products available come in handy when it is time to clean house. If you’ve never used Swiffer, I’m sure you are at least familiar with the products featured in their “green box” commercials. I was very excited recently when I received my own Swiffer Green Box!  Today I’m going to show you what came in the #BigGreenBox and demonstrate you the #SwifferEffect in my house!

 

Inside my green box, I received a Swiffer Sweeper Kit, along with extra pads and wet pads, as well as a Swiffer Duster Kit and extra dusters.  These products make it easier for anyone to keep a clean home.  Whether you rarely clean and have a big mess to tackle, or you like to do daily cleaning in your home, these products will definitely help you get the job done!

 

I love using the Swiffer.  The dry pads are perfect for any time you want to do a quick cleaning spree before company comes over or just a little cleaning maintenance every few days.  I especially like using these on our hard wood floors.  We have hard wood in our living room and hall.  These are definitely high traffic areas for us, as well as my kitty cat crew, so it gets dirty fairly quickly and easily.  Also, our living room is the first thing people see when they visit our home, so I have to work a little extra harder to keep it looking good.  The Swiffer definitely helps out with this, and the pads are gentle on the hard wood surface and require no chemical cleaners, so that is a real plus!

I also really like the wet pads.  In the past, I’ve used the Swiffer Wet Jet, which requires you to purchase the Swiffer liquid cleaner refills, and I’ve also used spray cleaners with a regular Swiffer in the past.  While I still enjoy and will be keeping my Wet Jet,  I love being able to use the Sweeper like a mop; it is just so convenient!

Also, I generally am not a fan of traditional mopping, because I don’t like having to touch the chemicals.  I also don’t like the concept of sticking my dirty mop back in to a bucket or sink to get it wet, as this only seems to get a bunch of dirt in my cleaning solution, and most of all, I hate wringing out traditional mops, because my hands are just too small to do it properly!

But the Swiffer Sweeper Wet Pads allow me to do a quick mopping job without all the hassle.  I only have a kitchen and two small bathrooms to mop, and they usually aren’t too dirty, so it is great to have something I can just pull out at a moment’s notice, and then I can have the floors clean in minutes!

The dusters are also a handy dandy contraption.  Unlike traditional dusters that you use over and over, the Swiffer Dusters have disposable dusters that you place on the dusting rod.  And the dusters are even infused with Gain, so as soon you pull one out, you’ll get that burst of freshness in the air!  We spend most of our time in the living room, so it seems to get the most dusty out of all the rooms.  I usually dust all the living room furniture about once a month, while other areas in the house are more on an “as needed basis.”

Swiffer Dusters do a great job on our surfaces.  Apart from our furniture, I’ve used them to dust the television and other electronics, lamps and other decorative items, fans and vents, and our trim work.

As if getting my own product package wasn’t great enough, the great folks at Swiffer also sent me an additional green box to give to someone.  I decided to give the green box to my mother-in-law.

She has no carpet at all in her house, so she could use these anywhere in her house!  My husband called it just a small thank you for all the great things she does for everyone.
