Today we’re taking an inside look at my latest trip to ALDI. I bought a lot of the items I’d typically buy on a trip to the market, including milk, cheese, meat, can goods, baking ingredients, and snacks. The grand total for my entire trip was $85!
That probably doesn’t sound like a lot of money to spend on groceries, but if you look below, you’ll see just how much groceries I was able to get for this amount at ALDI.
The theme for part 2 of my post series on ALDI is #aldiraves, so today I will be raving about some of my favorite products. I’ll start with a very popular staple: Milk
ALDI’s milk tastes great! And it is always a super value! I purchased a gallon the other day for $2.99. (At other stores, I’ve paid over $3 for a half gallon!)
I also love shopping ALDI for meat products. I purchase their bacon, hamburger meat, sandwich meat, sausage, and even seafood. But my favorite thing to purchase is their chicken. They have Kirkwood boneless skinless chicken breasts and tenderloins that are always sold at a great price. And they come in a nice 2.5 pound bag for convenient storage in your refrigerator or freezer.
I also love their Happy Farms Cheddar Cheese. I use cheddar cheese in a lot of dishes like soups and casseroles, and I often use it as a topping, so I always have a bag of the shredded cheddar cheese on hand.
And I LOVE their Brookdale Chicken Breast. This white meat chicken is great for a fast chicken salad, and I also use it quite often in soups and casseroles as a quick add in, rather than stewing raw chicken. This chicken tastes good. It’s convenient, and again they always have a great price.
Chef’s Cupboard has a number of dry good products. I especially love their stuffing mix. I use it in my poulet recipe, and it works great. In the past I’ve purchased this for 99 cents, but they actually had a special on it last week, and I was able to get it for 69 cents a box. Wow!
And another staple that I love to have on hand is cream of chicken soup. It’s one of my go-to ingredients for soups and casseroles. And I believe these were around 49 cents a can.
And finally, I decided to highlight their Brookdale Chili with Beans. As much as I love homemade chili, sometimes I just want something quick and convenient, and this is great for fast chili pies, chili dogs, and chili cheese fries.
And these are JUST SOME of the products that I enjoy using and saving big money on!
Do you shop at ALDI? If so, what is your favorite product? If not, what kind of products would you most like to buy there.
