Hello all! Well, I got ready to do this week’s giveaway and I ran in to a slight snag, so hopefully I have that up later today or in the next day or two!
In the meantime, I’ve got some My Memories Freebies and a tutorial for you today! And as always, you can save $10 on their Suite v3 Software by using my coupon code: STMMMS63042.
Previously when I’ve posted about my memories I’ve said that the software is not just for scrapbooking. You can, in fact, use it for a variety of crafting projects, including printables, gift tags, party favors, greeting cards, and basically any paper crafting or digital project. And today we’ve got two great examples of that.
First I’ve some freebies for you. Every few weeks, the great folks at My Memories send out 3 Freebies for me to share with you guys. And the latest freebie is printable gift bags! I thought these were so cool looking and just fun!
Here’s the Download links: Kit 1 | Kit 2 | Kit 3
*Please Note – They change out the freebies every 3 weeks, so if you like these download them now before they swap them out!
And I’ve also mentioned that you can use My Memories for your digital projects, which could include your own blog design elements.
This week I got a tutorial sent to me on how to create your own blog header. I know a lot of you would love to have a new custom blog header and would especially LOVE to be able to make it yourself. And obviously there’s a lot of different software programs out there that allow you to do this, but I thought some of you might want to take a look at My Memories as an option for this, as they make it pretty easy to do, using scrapbook elements.
Steps to Create your own Blog Header Using My Memories:
- To choose your own custom size, just create a new album and choose design your own.
- Then choose the ›Custom Size tab in the middle of the screen.
- You can set the size by inches or pixels.
- Usually a blogger header is around 1000×300 pixels and a WordPress header is 904×160 pixels
- Add whatever content you want, including papers, pictures, text and embellishments.
- Finally, click on Share Album in far right column and select Export
- In the Export Wizard, make sure that the image type is jpeg and the image size is the size you chose for your header and click finish
- Then all you have to do is load it into your blogger, see bottom of pdf tutorial below for more information on this step!
