Are you ready to send your kids back to school? I was shopping the other day and was overwhelmed by all the awesome school supply selections. (I love school supplies!) And I was just as overwhelmed by all the back to school snacking options. At our house, I need to have a few options that can be used for after school snacks but could also double as lunch items in the event that Noah takes his lunch, and it doesn’t hurt if they could also serve as an on-the-go breakfast item. Beyond this, it also helps if the products are affordable. Mott’s® Applesauce and Apple Juice are two things I can count on for this.
Mott’s® applesauce comes in convenient 6 packs, which are perfect for lunchboxes and school snacks, and their apple juice goes great with breakfast!
I purchased Mott’s® products at my local Dollar General. Mott’s® Apple Juice can be found on the juice drink aisle, while the applesauce is with canned fruits and other convenient snack items.
Right now you can get more snacks for your money with Mott’s®. From July 26 through August 23, Dollar General is running a special promotion on Mott’s® Apple Juice and Applesauce. The apple juice is priced at $2.00, and the applesauce is priced at $2.25. Look for special Back to School display featuring the products.
Mott’s® Applesauce is also a great ingredient for other snacks. Currently I have a few recipes pinned that I want to try in the future like Applesauce Cake and Apple Cinnamon Donuts! Yum!
If your child loves applesauce, there are a lot of creative ideas for serving it, from adding fun mix-ins, to letting them dip graham crackers or their favorite fruits. Here’s a simple recipe for Peanut Applesauce Dip, which also doubles as a sandwich spread. This recipe takes about 2 minutes to make and is perfect for school lunch or after school snacks.
