Grape and Berry Garland

In a previous post some months ago, I mentioned that our kitchen had a bit of an identity crisis. Since then I’ve gotten it a little more “together.” I’ve went with predominately red accessories, except above the cabinets where the majority of my antiques and things were blues and tans.

But after I decided to go with reds, my awesome mom brought me a whole box of grape garland. It was really pretty, so I just had to use it, but I also wanted to add some red elements to bring the top of the cabinets together with the rest of the space. So today I’m sharing my solution!

The garland originally looked like this (picture above). And what I did was use a piece of red berry garland that I already had and just add little bits and pieces of it throughout the garland strand. (Sorry I didn’t get a picture of the berry garland, but I have a feeling you’ll see, as I was able to the berries in a couple of projects.)

And for my particular project I used wire cutters to cut off individual sprigs of the berry garland and then wrapped them around the grape garland.  No hot glue or anything else was necessary, so it was really easy and painless!

Very pretty! Seems like it would also make a lovely Christmastime decoration.
